2025 Ford Bronco Sport

Subcompact SUVs are popular among drivers for good reason. Their size makes them easy to maneuver in tight spaces and park in crowded areas, while their open interiors offer a surprising amount of interior space and let you reconfigure the seating to easily switch between passenger space and cargo volume. But just about every subcompact SUV on the market is designed for navigating paved roads and paved roads alone. If you want a rugged model that can handle some off-road action, most automakers force you to size up to at least a midsize offering. With Ford, though, you can get a tough and ready vehicle in a convenient subcompact package.

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport has more off-road capability than ever before. If you want to explore rough terrain but don’t want the larger size and higher price tag of the midsize Bronco, then this is the SUV for you. A variety of trims let you get the level of capability you need, whether you need to tackle the occasional gravel driveway or a rocky mountain trail. And when you’re not roughing it in the great outdoors, you’ll have a practical model that’s great for running errands around town. That kind of versatility is what makes us proud to have this unique model available here at Loganville Ford.

Engines

Most trim levels of the Bronco Sport feature the base engine: a 1.5L EcoBoost turbocharged I-3 that produces up to 181 hp and 190 lb-ft of torque. That’s enough power to go from 0-60 mph in 8.2 seconds, which can come in handy both during thrilling off-road adventures and for swiftly getting up to speed on the highway. This engine also lets you tow up to 2,200 lbs, so you can bring a trailer along for the ride. If you’re looking for better specs, you can upgrade to the top-tier Badlands trim to get a 2.0L Ecoboost turbocharged I-4 that produces 250 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque, bringing the 0-60 time down to 5.9 seconds and the towing capacity up to 2,700 lbs. No matter your engine, all models come standard with a 4×4 system, so you’ll get the traction you need to conquer uneven surfaces as well as wet roads.

Off-Road Capability

All trims of the Bronco Sport have at least some off-road capability, but they aren’t all created equal. Trims like Big Bend, Heritage, Free Wheeling, and Outer Banks do offer different styling touches and amenities, which makes each one unique. However, when it comes to performance, they all come standard with the same engine and the HOSS (High-Performance, Off-Road, Stability, Suspension) 1.0 off-road tuned suspension system, and all have useful off-road oriented features like a terrain management system featuring five GOAT (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) modes.

Meanwhile, the Badlands trim is in a league of its own, not just because it features a more powerful engine but also because it has a more rugged HOSS 2.0 suspension, two additional GOAT modes (Rally and Off-Road), and a steel bash plate to protect underbody components from damage. It also comes standard with Trail Control, a low-speed cruise control function that lets you focus on steering when the trail gets rough. New for the 2025 model year, the Bronco Sport Badlands also has Trail One-Pedal Drive, a similar feature that simplifies driving during tasks like boulder crawling.

Available Packages

On top of the trim levels, there are also packages that can improve the Bronco Sport’s capability. On the Big Bend trim, you can add the Black Diamond Off-Road Package to get all-terrain tires that can better grip rough surfaces, Trailer Sway Control, and a protective steel skid plate. New for the 2025 model year, you can add the rugged Sasquatch Package to the Outer Banks trim, creating a great middle ground between the base trims and the Badlands, adding features like the HOSS 2.0 suspension, a steel skid plate, and a locking rear differential. You can also add the Sasquatch Package to the Badlands trim to unlock exclusive equipment like the HOSS 3.0 suspension and Bilstein rear position sensitive dampers that provide a smooth ride over rocky ground.

Technology

Infotainment

Step inside the 2025 Bronco Sport, and you’ll find that it’s gotten plenty of tech upgrades compared to the 2024 model year. Instead of the old 8-inch touchscreen, it sports a large 13.2-inch screen that makes it easy to quickly take in camera views, like the standard Rear View Camera and the available front 180° Camera with Split-View that makes it easy to see low-lying obstacles that can pop up at campsites or out on the trail and 360° Camera that lets you get a bird’s eye view of your surroundings. Of course, you can also use the screen to control the infotainment system, which now comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so you can easily use all of your smartphone’s navigation, communication, and audio apps without even needing to plug the phone in. To charge it, you can use the standard USB-A and USB-C ports or opt for the available wireless charging pad to go completely cable-free.

Driver-Assist Features

And tech can do more than just keep you entertained and connected on the road; it can also help keep you safe. As with past models, the Bronco Sport continues to come standard across all trims with Ford Co-Pilot 360. This suite of features includes Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, which can help you avoid accidents with the vehicle in front of you; Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert, which helps you stay aware of vehicles on either side of you; Lane-Keeping Assist, which keeps you centered in your lane, and Auto High Beam Headlamps, which help you see at night without blinding oncoming traffic. For the 2025 model year, Co-Pilot 360 Assist+ is also standard fare across the lineup, so you’ll also get Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering for safe and easy highway driving, Evasive Steering Assist to help you automatically avoid obstacles, Reverse Brake Assist, and Speed Sign Recognition. Keeping track of warnings from these systems is easier than ever with the new 12.3-inch digital gauge display, which sits directly behind the steering wheel, putting vital information in your direct line of sight.

Style

Exterior Design

The 2025 Bronco Sport contains plenty of substance, from its sturdy body and capable engine to its useful tech features and off-road equipment. But it also has a healthy dose of style layered on top, making it both functional and fashionable. Every trim has received new front and rear exterior designs for the 2025 model year, which make the SUV look more modern than ever before and highlight its rugged strength. However, each trim also has its own unique sense of style, with some going above and beyond to cultivate a unique aesthetic.

While the entry-level Big Bend trim isn’t the most exciting option, it still has plenty to love, from the word BRONCO incorporated into the design of the grille to the safari-style roof that looks even more ready for adventure with camping gear strapped down to the standard roof rails. The Outer Banks trim has a similar exterior but with its own unique wheel designs and a few other subtle changes. The Badlands trim makes a statement with its extra off-road equipment, including recovery points and underbody protection, which show the world that it means business.

The two trims in the middle of the pack have the most unique looks, each with its own distinct personality. The Heritage trim pairs the modern convenience of the 2025 Bronco Sport with a retro style that celebrates the Bronco of days gone by, pairing your choice of paint color with Oxford white wheels and a matching white contrast roof, with a red Bronco badge out front and an interior that sports eye-catching plaid seats. The Free Wheeling trim is inspired by the sunset, with stripes of red, orange, and yellow standing out against its black exterior and gracing the wheels with a pop of color. Ombre stitching inside follows the same color scheme, giving the cabin a touch of flair that’s sure to impress your passengers.
