Check Engine Light Diagnostics

One of the most common signs it's time to bring your vehicle in for service is a Check Engine light staring back at you from your dashboard. A Check Engine light can mean many things, from major engine trouble to a failed sensor, bad spark plugs, or a weak battery. The light is intended to alert you to an issue but doesn't exactly explain what's wrong, which is where our team is ready to help.

When your Check Engine light comes on, reach out to our service team and schedule an appointment. We have the latest technologies to run a diagnostic check that gives us insight into the issue. Once we run the diagnostics, we'll confirm the problem, discuss your options, and offer our expert recommendations.

Engine Repair

Engine trouble is a significant concern because a failed engine renders your vehicle unreliable and, potentially, useless. Trouble with your engine can present in many ways, from an apparent Check Engine light on the dashboard to an engine that won't start or makes weird sounds. These are your vehicle's way of alerting you to potential trouble, which indicates it's time to let our technicians look under the hood.

Our engine repair services focus on the many moving components of your engine, your vehicle's heartbeat. These elements are critical to ensuring you can get from point A to point B, but sometimes, they fail or degrade over time. Whether your engine needs a new head gasket, oil pan, belt, or something else, we're the perfect team to handle the job quickly and effectively to heighten your engine's performance and optimize its longevity to give you more time behind the wheel.

Head Gasket Replacement

Part of our engine repair services include head gasket replacement, but what exactly does a head gasket do? Moreover, what are the signs of head gasket trouble? If it's a bad head gasket, you might see white smoke billowing out of the tailpipe or your engine overheating. In some cases, there's bubbling in the coolant reservoir and an unexplained loss of coolant fluid.

While some of these issues are readily noticeable, others are not and require the trained eye of our technicians. We'll pop the hood and inspect the head gasket, which is located between the two primary components of the engine--the cylinder block and the cylinder head. The gasket seals the cylinders and keeps the oil, coolant, and cylinder pressure contained as the cylinders on either side expand and shrink in the normal internal combustion process. This high-stress environment generates a lot of heat, which can cause the head gasket to fail if the temperature becomes too extreme.

O2 Sensor Replacement

Did you know that oxygen is critical to your engine's operation? There's no question that fuel is an essential component to powering an internal combustion engine, but that fuel doesn't work alone. An internal combustion engine relies on the perfect mixture of fuel and air to create mini explosions. So, how does the engine ensure it has the correct ratio of oxygen and air? That's the job of the O2 sensor.

Your vehicle relies on multiple O2 sensors to monitor the amount of oxygen throughout the exhaust system. The sensors typically rely on a chemical reaction, reading the level of unburned oxygen by generating a voltage that determines how much fuel is needed in the combustion chambers. This data determines if your engine is running rich or lean, with the former needing less fuel and the latter the opposite.

When an O2 sensor fails, your vehicle ends up guessing the right balance of air and fuel. This guesswork means your engine doesn't perform as efficiently, translating to poor gas mileage and more emissions. Fortunately, it's an easy fix that we can diagnose and repair.

Radiator Repair

Have you noticed your engine overheating or smoking? Do you see green fluid dripping underneath your vehicle? These troubling signs indicate it's time to bring your vehicle in for radiator repair.

Radiator repair is one of our specialties and is integral to your vehicle's longevity on the road. The engine in your car, truck, or SUV works overtime to generate power, with its many moving components generating extreme heat. This heat must go somewhere to ensure the engine doesn't overheat, which is where the radiator comes into play. The radiator moves heat away from the engine using hoses to circulate a liquid coolant around the engine as it operates. The coolant absorbs the excess heat, relying on the fan to blow the hot air out of the car as the engine idles.

Transmission Repair

Whether you notice a burning smell when you drive, a leak that looks like transmission fluid, or trouble shifting gears, we can handle all your transmission repair needs. The transmission in your vehicle is critical to its performance, so we always tell our customers to trust their intuition. For example, you know your car better than anyone else and recognize when the engine seems like it's revving high or it doesn't shift gears as fast.

Transmission issues are straightforward to diagnose, with our technicians gleaning insight from your experience in the driver's seat. For example, if you smell something burning, that generally tells us there's a fluid leak or low fluid levels. If the engine is revving high, that's typically a sign the internal components or clutch is worn and needs repair. Whatever the case, we'll handle the repairs and bring your transmission back to life.

Alternator Replacement

The engine in your car relies on the battery to give it that initial jolt of energy, but the alternator takes over after a few minutes. The alternator delivers steady power to the engine and recharges your car's battery. It also powers the headlights, radio, and other electronic accessories, like your power seats.

Alternator issues present in various ways, from a string of dead batteries to an engine that frequently stalls or makes strange noises. You may also notice more subtle signs of potential trouble, like dim or overly bright headlights or accessories that are slow to work or malfunction, like a window that won't roll down or heated seats that don't seem to warm up as quickly or reach temperature. Sometimes, you may smell rubber burning or notice that pesky Check Engine light on the dashboard, indicating it's time to let our expert technicians help.
