The F-150 may be America’s most popular truck, but as a light-duty model, it doesn’t have enough capability for drivers with especially heavy trailers or tough construction jobs that require hauling major amounts of materials like cinder blocks and bricks. If you want the reliability and innovation of a Ford truck paired with the extra capability of a heavy-duty pickup, it’s time to get behind the wheel of a Super Duty truck.

If you’re considering a new 2025 Ford Super Duty, you may notice that there have been some changes. This model has a variety of upgrades up and down the trim levels that make it even better than ever before. Some of these changes are practical and others elevate the truck’s comfort and style. We’ll dive in and look at a range of things that Ford is bringing to the table for the 2025 model year.

Trailer Technology

If you’re getting a heavy-duty truck, you probably plan on doing some towing. Like the 2024 model, the 2025 Super Duty is capable of towing up to 40,000 lbs when properly configured. But raw towing power isn’t the only thing to consider. Carrying that kind of bulk and weight can be difficult and dangerous, which is why Ford is always hard at work creating features that make the entire process easier and safer.

The Super Duty didn’t need a new slate of trailering technologies for the 2025 model—it already has plenty of tools for drivers to choose from. These include auxiliary cameras that let you see what’s going on behind you when a bulky trailer is in the way, a blind spot information system with trailer coverage so you can change lanes with confidence on a busy highway, and a trailer tire pressure monitoring system with sensors for individual tires, letting you know if you need to pull over for air right away and don’t need to risk getting a blowout during a long haul drive.

What’s new for 2025 is the way that these features are bundled together. Convenient packages let you add several advanced trailering features at once so you can easily upgrade your truck to meet your needs. If you want to know the details about these packages and which trims they’re available on, give us a call or a visit and we’ll be happy to answer any questions.

Ford Pro Vehicle Integration System 2.0

As much as we love Ford’s lineup of accessories and additional equipment for the Super Duty, we know that HD trucks are used for a wide range of applications, each with its own specific needs. Whether you’re a small business owner, a DIY enthusiast, or an outdoor explorer, you may well want to customize your truck with third-party upfits and equipment. Instead of making this process difficult, Ford is actively working to make it as easy as possible so you have the freedom to make your truck your own.

New for the 2025 model year, the available Ford Pro Vehicle Integration System 2.0 makes it easier than ever to integrate a range of equipment into your setup. Like older systems, this one allows you to control upfits and accessories using overhead toggle switches that are easy to assign to various functions. But pushing things forward, you can also control third-party systems directly through the truck’s digital controls. Adding integration with the central touchscreen makes things smoother and simpler, so you can enjoy the latest in convenience.

Top-Tier Trim Goes Platinum & Gets New Plus Package

On the 2024 Super Duty, the top-tier trim was the Limited, a variant that had plenty of comfort and convenience features onboard, including heated and ventilated front seats, a sunroof, power deployable running boards, and a head-up display that projects information directly onto the lower windshield. While this trim has been renamed to Platinum for the 2025 model year, the standard features are largely the same. Changes largely involve style, like a black-painted grille or body-color door handles.

But you don’t have to stop at Platinum if you’re looking for the most luxurious heavy-duty truck possible. The 2025 Super Duty is introducing a new package: Platinum Plus. This upgrade also has plenty of style inside and out, with a satin finish on certain exterior accents and an exclusive interior design with Venetian Leather seats decorated with French stitching. But it also adds on some more significant features: Max Recline Seats let you get some well-earned rest after a hard day’s work before you have to get back on the road, and the class-exclusive 2.0kW Pro Power Onboard system gives you a tool that is essentially a mobile generator, allowing you to use anything from power tools to mini fridges just about anywhere.

On top of all that, opting for the Platinum Plus Package gets you a proper VIP experience, with automatic upgrade to the coveted Blue Tier of the FordPass Rewards program. You’ll be able to take virtual tours that walk you through your truck’s features and text product experts one-on-one with any questions. You’ll also get a 20% discount on Ford accessories for the first 90 days you own the truck, so you can truly turn your Super Duty into a luxurious custom ride that’s sure to be the envy of anyone you drive past.

New Paint Colors

To make your truck match your personal style, two new paint colors join the lineup for the 2025 model. There were already some great options for the Super Duty’s paint job, including classic Agate Black Metallic, Oxford White, Carbonized Gray Metallic, colorful Antimatter Blue Metallic, Race Red, and unique yet timeless Darkened Bronze Metallic.

In between the white and gray shades sits the new Avalanche, a very light gray with a shine like freshly fallen snow. For something a little more show-stopping, consider Ruby Red Metallic. Darker and with more depth than Race Red, this color fully deserves to be named after a precious gemstone and is sure to be a popular choice among truck owners who want to show pride in their ride.
