When folks talk about the 2024 Ford Bronco family of SUVs, we often hear them making comments about its amazing capability. With outstanding features like GOAT (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) driving modes, three turbocharged engine options, a slew of HOSS High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension systems, and a choice between manual and automatic transmission, it’s understandable that they would get the spotlight.

But there’s something about the 2024 Ford Bronco and Bronco Sport that we don’t talk about nearly enough: How incredibly cool they look. Ford has genuinely put a lot of effort into designing the current generation of all Broncos to be stylish by today’s standards while paying homage to its rebellious past. From retro badging and a color palette inspired by previous generations, the 2024 Bronco and Bronco Sport perfectly meld nostalgia and modern trends into contemporary style. Let’s take a look at how the 2024 Ford Bronco family is rocking the trails and the streets with the latest good looks and the hottest throwbacks.

Here Comes a Good-Looking SUV

For the 2024 model year, Ford has made some very specific choices involving the full-sized Bronco’s sophisticated good looks. According to Ford, the exterior colors offered this year are inspired by the original 1966 Bronco’s classic colors. Robin’s Egg Blue, Yellowstone Metallic, and Azure Gray come from the past with a modern kick. In addition, Shelter Green pays homage to Ford’s World War II vehicle-building past on the new Ford Bronco Raptor.

As a way to commemorate the Bronco’s 58th birthday, Ford Performance and Method Race Wheels have developed four new wheel options for the Bronco Raptor. 17-inch wheels measuring 8.5 inches in width are offered in a retro Oxford White, Matte Titanium Gray, Method Bronze, or Matte Black.

Those looking for more than a touch of vintage flair can select from two trims that celebrate the early days of Bronco. The 2024 Bronco Sport Heritage Edition includes plaid cloth seating and an Oxford white painted hardtop to honor its ancestors, while the 2024 Bronco Heritage Limited Edition comes clad in highly breathable perforated leather-trimmed plaid seating and adds “dog dish” style aluminum wheels with white walls to the exterior theme.

But Ford is serving drivers more than just vintage vibes. With the brand new Bronco Raptor comes the very exciting Code Orange Package. As the name implies, the color theme is celebrated both inside and out, with Code Orange tow hooks and beadlock rings joined by Code Orange seatbelts and Code Orange-themed graphics on the rear fenders. According to Bronco Brand Manager Matt Winter, “Bronco Raptor customers want to stand out with off-road performance and looks matching that capability. This new Code Orange appearance package does just that.” To make the vivid Code-Orange accents stand out even more, you can pair the seatbelts with your choice of Black Onyx or Blue with Black Onyx upholstery.

Styled for You

One of the most outstanding features of the 2024 Bronco and Bronco Sport is its shape. It’s known as a Safari-style roof, and its purpose is to maximize interior space. However, that’s where many of the similarities end. While the Bronco Sport is offered exclusively as a four-door vehicle, the Bronco has far more options in store for drivers to personalize their rides.

The two-door version of the Bronco comes with removable hard top panels. These panels are easily removed and stashed––along with the doors––in the standard storage bag that comes with each model. The four-door model includes a standard black soft top, though drivers have plenty of options to customize. In addition to a removable hard top option, drivers can choose from several Ford-authorized options, including a Bimini Soft Top mesh, a convertible twill, and a hard top/soft top combo.

There are very few elements of the Bronco’s exterior that can’t be modified. Whether you want roof rails or a roof tent setup, Ford has options to convert the Bronco into your dream adventure vehicle. Even the doors can be converted into tube doors to give you a little more security while becoming one with the wilderness. An available heavy-duty modular front bumper can be equipped to act as an extra toolbar with places to attach a winch, pod lights, brush guards, and more.

Even the Bronco Sport Gets Retro Treatment

Though the Bronco Sport is the 2024 Ford Bronco’s little sibling, it still gets a few style options for the new model year in the form of the Free Wheeling Package and the Black Appearance Package.

Picture it: it’s the 1970s. As more and more drivers are getting into the spirit of leaving the paved roads behind for adventure, Ford introduces its Free Wheeling package. Offered as a limited edition package on the Ford F-100, F-150, Econoline, and Bronco, this package added red, orange, and yellow “sunset” graphics and pinstriping inside and out. It was a fresh way for drivers to showcase their love of nature and the popular brand. The distinct graphics soon became an iconic symbol of the new generation.

Similarly, the 2024 Free Wheeling Bronco Sport is a nod to its rebellious path. According to Ted Ryan, Archives and Heritage Brand Manager for Ford, “The Ford Free Wheeling package was developed to appeal to younger customers. The Free Wheeling Broncos were as popular as they were distinctive.” Though clearly retro in inspiration, the 2024 Bronco Sport Free Wheeling has a more modern take on the pattern. The exterior updates include graphics on the sides, liftgate, and hood of the Bronco Sport, all in tones of red, orange, yellow, and silver. Red accents on the wheels and silver badging and grille round out the exciting Free Wheeling look.

You may think the Bronco Sport Black Appearance Package sounds pretty basic from the name alone, but Ford has once again stepped up the design with cues from nature and its honored past. The inspiration for this model is the undisturbed night skies that can be found in some of our more remote National Parks. This can be seen in the Matte Black and Shadow Black Exterior with Carbon Black and Smoke Chrome accents, which mimic the darkness and shimmer of a starry night.

The 2024 Ford Bronco Family of Vehicles: Cooler Than the Rest

It’s easy to see why so many drivers select the Bronco and Bronco Sport. When it comes to selecting a family-friendly, on-road-ready, off-roading vehicle, no SUV compares to the Bronco family.

However, in all of our excitement about the power, performance, and capability of these vehicles, we often overlook the amount of effort Ford has put into making sure that drivers look very stylish wherever they might be driving. From playing off vintage themes to creating new packages that speak to younger drivers, Ford connects with drivers by offering them the ability to drive a vehicle that truly reflects their personality.
