2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E
The Mustang Mach-E has been Ford’s answer to segment rivals like the Tesla Model Y or the Volkswagen ID.4, proving to be a performance-focused crossover that provides the room and capabilities of a traditional SUV but the speed and handling of an all-electric sports car, hence why it’s typically referred to as a BEV. The combustion-less experiment that started with the 2021 model year has worked out well for Ford, giving consumers a new way to engage with the popular nameplate, which has transformed from a sports coupe into a five-door, two-row family vehicle. For the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E, there have been some exciting new additions to the line-up to give shoppers even more reason to eye Ford’s alternative fuel pony car over the competition.
The first major addition to the trim line-up is the all-new Rally Edition. This trim is a high-performance option for the popular crossover, giving it a unique look and a much bolder stance compared to the other trims. This includes a rally-inspired two-tone exterior featuring dual racing stripes down the middle of the vehicle and a rear roof-pedestal spoiler. This gives the Rally Edition a genuinely standout look, along with its slate of off-road inspired suspension and performance adjustments, a redesigned front splitter, a unique grille design, underbody shielding, and uniquely designed 19-inch Oxford White aluminum wheels tucked inside of the Michelin CrossClimate2 all-season performance tires.
The Rally Edition also introduces an all-new drive mode for the Mustang Mach-E, the RallySport Drive Mode. This is made possible thanks to the Rallycross-tuned MagneRide suspension and handling upgrades. The Rally Edition joins the three other trims as part of the 2024 line-up, which includes the Mustang Mach-E Select, the Mach-E Premium, and the Mach-E GT. Additionally, the all-new Bronze Appearance Package for the GT adds Sinister Bronze painted aluminum alloy wheels and special Mach-E 4X badges outlined in Sinister Bronze. There are seven base colors to choose from, including Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Vapor Blue Metallic, Star White Metallic Tri-Coat, Eruption Green Metallic, Glacier Gray Metallic Tri-Coat, Grabber Blue Metallic, and Shadow Black.

Performance
Electric Range
The 2024 Mach-E is available in multiple powertrain configurations based on the trim designation. You have both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive in single-motor or dual-motor configurations, with standard and extended-range battery packs. The battery packs come in 72 kWh and 91 kWh sizes, and offer different range and fuel economy based on their configuration. With the 72 kWh single motor, you have a maximum range of up to 250 miles in rear-wheel drive, while the dual motor all-wheel drive provides a maximum range of 230 miles. The 91 kWh battery pack provides 320 miles of total range in rear-wheel drive, while in dual-motor all-wheel drive, you have up to 300 miles of total range. Alternatively, the high-performance version of the 91 kWh battery provides a maximum of 280 miles of range on a full charge.
Horsepower and Torque
The performance capabilities of the Mach-E offer a diverse range based on what you want from the performance BEV. The single-motor 72 kWh battery pack manages up to 264 hp at 387 lb-ft of torque, while the dual-motor variant of the 72 kWh battery makes up to 325 hp at 500 lb-ft of torque. For the 91 kWh single motor configuration, you can achieve up to 290 hp at 387 lb-ft of torque, while the dual-motor variant makes up to 365 hp at 500 lb-ft of torque. Lastly, the high-performance 91 kWg dual-motor for the GT and Rally Edition can produce up to 480 hp at 700 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful variant of the Mach-E for the 2024 model year.
The Rally Edition
The Mach-E makes further use of many of Ford’s established technologies, including the MagneRide suspension with dynamic damping for improved handling. The Rally Edition also has an independent MacPherson strut-type suspension with a linear throttle response, giving you peppy and controlled acceleration. And given that there are no internal combustion processes involved, you have a quiet, quick ride on your hands with the Mustang Mach-E.
Design
Exterior
The design of the 2024 Mustang Mach-E lends itself well to those who want a great-looking all-electric vehicle that retains some of the visual DNA of the modern Mustang design. This includes the Mustang’s recognizable front fascia, the modest curves, and a sporty profile that makes it just as viable for daily driving and commuting as it is for off-road adventures and weekend road trips. The unique set of wheels for each trim gives it its own unique identity, including 19-inch machined-face aluminum wheels with high-gloss black painted pockets for the Select, the 19-inch bright machined-face aluminum wheels for the Premium, and the 20-inch machined-face aluminum wheels with high-gloss black painted pockets for the GT. The Rally Edition has unique Oxford White 19-inch aluminum wheels, giving it a distinct look from the other trims.
You have a full LED lighting array with projector headlamps, signature lighting, turn signals, and tail lights. A manual liftgate is also included standard, but a power liftgate is available for added convenience. A standard front recovery hook also makes the Mach-E Rally Edition quite convenient for off-road recreation. Rain-sensing wipers, rear-window defroster, and windshield wiper de-icer make the Mach-E trims perfect for any season.
Interior
Inside, the Mach-E seats up to five people across two rows, and you also have a standard 29.7 cu.ft. of cargo volume available behind the second row or up to 59.7 cu.ft. of space with the second row folded down. Even more than that is the added utility frunk, which provides you with an added 4.7 cu.ft. of additional space.
You have a rotary gear shift dial for changing the Drive Modes and ambient multi-color interior cabin customization. Multiple cargo storage compartments are also sprinkled throughout the Mach-E, including under the center console armrest; there are bins on the front doors, overhead console storage, and an open media storage compartment. Plus, you have multiple 12-volt powerpoints in the cargo area and the front console. When it comes to charging the Mach-E, you have multiple options with the different level charging capabilities, including an available 240-volt cord for improved charging that supports Level 1 and Level 2 charging. The Mustang Mach-E charging port, however, supports all three charging levels, including Level 3 DC Fast Charging.
Technology
The technology available for the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E reminds potential shoppers that this is a modern, all-electric compact BEV. The highlight of its technological capabilities starts with the BlueCruise semi-autonomous hands-free driving mechanism, which enables the vehicle to drive thousands of miles on compatible roads throughout North America, including Canada. BlueCruise adds an extra layer of comfort and technological independence for the Mach-E, so you can sit back and relax while the vehicle does most of the work for you.
Infotainment
The Mach-E is also powered by the Ford SYNC 4A infotainment suite, featuring a large and crystal clear 15.5-inch HD touchscreen featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration for phone projection. You also have other standard infotainment features, such as Bluetooth wireless support for media streaming and hands-free voice calls. Plus, there is SiriusXM Satellite Radio with tons of stations to listen to, which you can enjoy through the availability of the Bang & Olufsen surround sound system, which features ten speakers and a subwoofer. This allows you to listen to your favorite tunes in the highest quality possible or surf through the HD radio stations to find something new and exciting.
Convenience Features
You can also take advantage of worthwhile tech features made available from the FordPass Connect, such as the built-in navigation suite with up to three years of service, EV Trip Planner so you can always find a charge station nearby, and the pinch-to-zoom capabilities for easily spotting out and navigating to various points of interest.
