The Maverick has a new standard engine, one that boasts equal parts power and efficiency. All three trims come standard with a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine—one of Ford’s great contributions to the auto industry. Ford’s EcoBoost technology utilizes several performance-enhancing and fuel-saving systems, providing the best of both worlds. EcoBoost engines are equipped with turbochargers, consolidating the engine’s design, which means it weighs less and is also more fuel-efficient.
